At Minda Mia, we share our enthusiasm and passion for professional landscaping. We encourage our staff to take ownership of their roles and offer advancement and training to keep competent staff on board.
All of our staff have relevant licenses and qualifications for Occupational Health and Safety requirement, plus current National Police Certification and Construction Industry Awareness Cards.

NEIL WATERHOUSE (CERT HORT) 1981
Neil is a qualified horticulturist with over 35 years of experience in landscape and horticulture. He has extensive plant knowledge having owned an ornamental wholesale production nursery for over 10 years, propagating and selling over 300,000 plants per annum. Neil has been a past board member of the Nursery Industry Association of WA representing the Association on the UWA Horticultural Advisory Council and the Centre for Australian Plants based in Kings Park. Neil has provided consultancy to Local Government, Private Schools, mining companies, and residential clients. He has an advanced knowledge of plants and their cultural requirements. Neil has designed and installed a multitude of flourishing landscapes over a 35 year period.
Chris has over 13 years experience in both commercial and residential landscaping, Contributing to successful major commercial projects in Western Australia including remote area works, public open spaces and streetscapes along with residential projects of all budgets. All of this hasgiven him a good understanding of logistical challenges and OH&S requirements , and help him develop a calm and structured approach to all projects.
Mike's experience in the landscape industry stretches back to 1978. As a landscape designer and project manager his projects have won many awards, Best Housing Estate NSW, Best Park in Australia, Best Resort, and Environmental Engineering awards, been attributive to Landscaper of The Year achievements, attained experience as the Landscape Planner for the City of Launceston, Landcare Project Coordinator roles, and received a Landcare Individual Nomination.
Mikes Associate Diploma in Applied Science-Land Management, his Diploma in Architectural Drafting, Certificate in Irrigation Technology, and past international experience in projects, make him highly skilled for a diverse range of Landscape work.
Mick has been involved in most aspects of landscape management over the last 15 years. He has supervised maintenance works and project installations, directly dealt with clients, overseen all of our street and park tree maintenance crews, and many more. Mick has his Chemical Ticket, White Card, Basic Traffic Management, EWP , Working under power lines, Working with Children and Police Clearance. Certificate 2 in Horticulture.
In 2010, Alan started with us as an operator and his passion and commitment soon saw him move to supervisor level overseeing the management of a major contract. He now manages a small specialised team looking after a key educational institution in Perth's northern suburbs.
ADMINISTRATION: JILLIAN McKINLAY
Jill has a broad skill set in business and landscape. Jill is our very competent Office Manager and will assist with queries in a prompt and efficient manner as best she can. She also assists our directors and managers whenever required and helps out in the field at times of pressure!. She has completed her Certificate 4 in Business and OHS and utilises these skills in her role.
